This took me back to an Internet craze that went around in the early 2000&#8217;s&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-194\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scanlen.com\/madmike\/?attachment_id=194\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-194\" title=\"All Your Base Are Belong To Us\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scanlen.com\/madmike\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/All_your_base.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"http:\/\/outofmymind.scanlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/All_your_base.gif 320w, http:\/\/outofmymind.scanlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/All_your_base-300x210.gif 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The phrase &#8220;All Your Base Are Belong To Us&#8221; comes from the opening scene from the Japanese game, which was very crudely translated into English. In late 2000, Kansas City computer programmer and part-time DJ Jeffrey Ray Roberts of the Gabber band &#8220;The Laziest Men on Mars&#8221; made a techno dance track, &#8220;Invasion of the Gabber Robots&#8221;, which remixed some of the Zero Wing video game music by Tatsuya Uemura with a voiceover phrase &#8220;All your base are belong to us.&#8221;. \u00a0There were many spinoffs from this and here is just one YouTube clip of &#8220;All Your Base Are Belong To Us&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"480\" height=\"385\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/k52HCHOSpr0?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"480\" height=\"385\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/k52HCHOSpr0?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Many pranks have been played using the phase. One such prank was on June 1, 2006, YouTube was taken down temporarily for maintenance. The phrase &#8220;ALL YOUR VIDEO ARE BELONG TO US&#8221; appeared below the YouTube logo while the site was down. Some \u00a0believed the site had been hacked, which lead them to add the message &#8220;No, we haven&#8217;t been hacked.
