For a while now I have been toying with the idea of getting a Dual SIM Android phone. Now for those of you who don’t know what that means, it is basically having 1 phone with 2 SIM cards inside it. So you can have say your work phone SIM, as well as your private SIM, in 1 phone. No more having to carry around two phones!<\/p>\n

My wife mentioned to me that one of their distributors, demoed a dual SIM phone a few weeks back. I asked her to please see if she could arrange that I borrow it for a few days to see how it performed. Well imagine my surprise when she handed me a box this last weekend containing the phone – a Nexa Vega N4<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Now don’t be surprised, I also have never heard of the Nexa brand before either, but for a device that retails for R2690,00 incl VAT and has a 2 Year swopout warranty who cares what it is called!<\/p>\n

At first glance the phone reminds one of a Samsung Galaxy S4 – only without a physical home button on the front. On the back the position of the camera and the flash is almost identical to the S4 (see below), however the speaker grill is located on the right compared to the left on the S4.<\/p>\n

Looking at the sides of the phone you will find the Power button the top LEFT, headphone jack and USB 2.0 slot at the TOP, the Volume Up and Down on the RIGHT and on the bottom a hole for the microphone.<\/p>\n

Whats in the box?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The phone was already fitted with a screen protector on it (even if a phone has Gorilla Glass I still prefer to install a screen protector)<\/em> so I would assume one comes with it standard.<\/p>\n

There was a two prong wall charger where one can plug the USB 2.0 charge cable into. The USB cable was there and so were a set of white headphones. \u00a0Now as someone who tries to respect other peoples property I did not unwrap the cables or take off the screen cover top layer (from the protective film – see the white label on the phone), so I cannot say what the quality of the headset or USB cable was…sorry! \u00a0There was also a warranty card inside the box and it stated that the phone has a 2 year warranty on it.<\/p>\n
