When one starts on a LCHF <del>diet<\/del> lifestyle you start to look at what different ingredients are in food. Mayonnaise is\u00a0one of those foods\u00a0that contains sugars and other goodies that might not be what you are supposed to be having &#8211; so I thought about what other alternatives there may be&#8230; and I started to experiment&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I introduce to you my version of mayonnaise &#8211; I call it <strong><em>Yoghurtnaise<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/outofmymind.scanlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LCHF-Yoghurtnaise.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[2290]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2291 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/outofmymind.scanlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LCHF-Yoghurtnaise.jpg\" alt=\"LCHF-Yoghurtnaise\" width=\"513\" height=\"428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/outofmymind.scanlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LCHF-Yoghurtnaise.jpg 513w, https:\/\/outofmymind.scanlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LCHF-Yoghurtnaise-300x250.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 513px) 100vw, 513px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now as you have probably gathered by the name the main ingredient is Yoghurt. \u00a0I only use Greek Style Plain Yoghurt (Double Cream or High Fat). Now depending on which brand you use will determine the taste, in terms of bitterness. \u00a0Check out the <em>&#8220;Yoghurt Shoot Out&#8221;<\/em> post coming soon!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greek Style Yoghurt \u00a0<em> (about 4x Tablespoons)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Lemon Juice \u00a0<em>(about 2x Teaspoons)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Mustard Power \u00a0<em>(1\/2 Teaspoon)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Mixed Herbs \u00a0<em>(to flavor \/ optional)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Salt \u00a0<em>(to flavor)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Cayenne Pepper <em>(optional)\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dish <strong>Yoghurt<\/strong> into bowl and add <strong>Lemon Juice<\/strong> and <strong>Mustard Power<\/strong>. Mix well. \u00a0I then added the <strong>salt<\/strong>, about 1\/4 teaspoon, and mixed well again. \u00a0For added flavor I like adding some <strong>Mixed herbs<\/strong> <em>(for flavor)<\/em> and <strong>Cayenne pepper<\/strong> <em>(for bite). \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I am sure that if I could get Onion Powder somewhere it would go well with it &#8211; but I cannot seem to find it in any retail shop&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Anyway experiment and see what other alternatives you can make \ud83d\ude42 and do share!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mayonnaise &#8211; some people can&#8217;t stand it, other people smother their food with it.
